February 2012

We brought David and Theresa Wernery, the founders of Plastic Not So Fantastic, to speak on the American University in Dubai campus.  They are both longtime members of Emirates Environmental Group.  More pictures will be posted soon.  The lecture was a huge hit with the audience, especially the Wernerys' 50 kg dried cow's stomach, filled with plastic the cow had once eaten!  Don't worry, pics soon!  We are actively facilitating and cajoling the Wernerys to visit Mozambique on their plastic world educational tour--

David Wernery talks about a stomach of a small mammal that died from plastic ingestion. He and his wife occasionally find such remains out in the desert.
